I have lurked around here a long time. I have read reviews that were helpful and others that seemed just like ranting.
I used to post on other boards when I was younger and lived elsewhere. I never asked a massage therapist if they wanted reviews. I just wrote them, good ones, and not so good. But I learned that even the good ones can upset a therapist if there are too many details they don't want known. I now believe asking if they want a review is the courteous thing to do.
